2022: 14 coaches at institution in Ellis County earned on average $69,685

Ellis County’s 14 coaches earned an average salary of $69,685 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the fourth highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Kansas post-secondary schools during 2022.

Ellis County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $79,133 on average in Ellis County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $60,236.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
