Art On the Oasis March 3-5
Colby Community College will host the Art on the Oasis art show on March 3, 4, and 5 in the Bedker Memorial Complex and the Cultural Arts Center Gallery. The event features art by high school, amateur and professional artists from around the region.
The opening gala is on March 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. Viewing continues Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
“We’ll have unique food, music, awards, and opportunities to purchase art,” said organizer Rebel Mahieu. “Besides local entries, we have pieces from Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, CCC and Fort Hays State students, works from as far as Greensburg, McCook, Nebraska, and around the area. There will also be live music from the Detherage/Engel band from Hays.”
